Summer Sips and Two Local Classics

Most days you’ll catch me daydreaming about an adventure in the Rockies or a day at the beach somewhere, but not today. I’m happy right where I’m at, and I know you are, too! What better to celebrate Iowa’s perfect (pre-100% humidity) weather than with golf and outdoor dining? Good news, Des Moines is delivering and we’re here at Urban with the incentives to go local!

The golf? The Principal Charity Classic, of course.

The Dining? Gino’s West Glen, where the tourney excitement is just across the street and where your Urban Card offers you a Monday, Wednesday, Friday Buy-One-Get-One-Half incentive!

We know you already have the scoop on the golf tournament, but thought we’d get you up to speed on the “next generation” restaurant of a Des Moines classic. Although Gino’s West Glen image is new and fresh, the food is the original goodness Des Moines has been in love with for over 50 years. We’re diggin’ this about Gino’s West Glen – a relevant place to go, but grounded in rich tradition. Case and point – the classic martini, shaken table-side!

Check out our pics of the Gino’s West Glen location on Facebook.

This Friday is a big day at Gino’s if you’re looking for a reason to stop in. Here’s the scoop – Gino’s West Glen is partnering with the Principal Charity Classic to bring you Networking on the Green (a New View Young Professional event)  in the afternoon and then later that evening Fridays at the Fountain kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Join us Friday to hear Max Wellington perform. Cover is $5.00 and you must be 21 to attend.

A dirty martini cheers to summer fun in our awesome city!
